Inside Out Party Invitations

• Emotion Characters - Have all the emotions or our favorite showcased in the middle of your invitation. Then, have the rest of your party information around the outside of the card.

• Memory Orb - Make homemade party invitations that are circle shaped to look like the memory orbs from the movies. Make the orbs multi-colored to represent all the emotions and have yellow and the lighter colors in the middle to make it easier to read your party information. 

Inside Out Party Decorations and Supplies

• Color Theme - Use a color theme of rainbow for all the emotions: red (Anger), orange (Anxiety), yellow (Joy), green (Disgust), teal (Envy), blue (Sadness and Ennui) purple (Fear), and pink (Embarrassment)

• Emotion Windows and Doorways - At the top of each doorway or window hang colored streamers that coordinate with each of the emotions

• Memory Orbs - For centerpieces, fill clear bowls with colorful marbles to look like the memories from the movie. These can be filled with all of one color for one emotion or mixed colors for memories with multiple emotions

• Emotion Balloons - Have colored balloons and draw on expressions for each of the emotions or have balloons that are the shape of the main emotion characters 

• Memory Wall - Create a wall out of pictures, drawings, and colored memory cards that the guests can add to to create a wall of emotions

• Characters - Print or cut out the main characters or your favorite emotions to have around the party area that guests can take their picture

Inside Out Party Games and Activites

• Emotion Charades - Act out the different emotions and within the timer time, the other players need to try to guess what emotion and character you are

• Memory Orbs - In a craft station, have circle shaped paper, pencil crayons, markers, stickers, glitter glue, etc. to have the guests create their very own memory orb of a positive memory

• Emotion Sorting Game - Have multiple cards or pictures of each of the emotions (Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, Disgust, Envy, Ennui, Embarrassment, and Anxiety) and have the players match them together

• Emotion Bingo - Play bingo with cards that the different emotions

• Joy’s Dance Party - Play fun music and have a dance party where guests can show off their best moves

• Anger’s Hot Potato - Play a game of hot potato with a stuffy toy of Anger or another soft toy and toss “Anger” around

• Disgust Fashion Show - Have simple items for dress up and dress up to walk the runway in outfits that Disgust would approve of. For example, scarves, sunglasses, hats, and more. 

• Fear’s Obstacle Course - Create an obstacle course that is an appropriate difficulty level for your guests with simple challenges to overcome

• Sadness Story Time - Gather the guests and read a storybook 

• Memory Orb Keychains - Have clear necklace string and beads of different colors 

• Watch one of the movies (Inside Out, 2015 or Inside Out 2, 2024)

Inside Out Party Food and Drink

• Memory Orb Fruit Kabobs - On skewers, arrange red/green grapes, blueberries, to look like memories

• Ice Cream Bar - Have ice cream with colored sprinkles or other toppings to represent the colors of all the emotions

• Emotion Cookies - Decorate cookies with different colored frosting to represent the different emotions 

• Pizza Faces - Decorate pizzas with toppings to looks like the different emotions, such as a smiley face for Joy or a sad face for Sadness
