Everything is Awesome at a _____ (number) birthday party. Come help build memories with the birthday boy or girl. Come build a good time at ____ Birthday Party!
When your guests are arriving, have a lego set for them to start building. You can either have lego plans for little designs that each guest can try to build or you can get a set for everyone to try to build together. If they are creating individual designs, have the designs represent your guest of honors theme. If you are creating a group design you could either build a birthday cake or a set that represents the lego party ideas.
Build ‘n Race - before the party create a ramp for your creations to race towards a finish line. You can have your guests create a type of motorized vehicle on wheels. Have a tub of random lego pieces and lots of wheels. Once they are happy with their design they can drive it down the ramp to test their design. If you want your guests to create a watercraft they would need boat bottoms and a water raceway. Your guests can either race their designs or be happy with their personal movement.
Robots Lego - if your guests are older than about 8 years old they may be interested in building and coding their lego. You can get education robotic sets that are lego for your guests to build.
Build the Tallest Tower - divide the guests into individuals or pairs for the building challenge. Everyone can start with the same number of bricks. Then start the timer to see who can build the tallest tower in the limited time. Depending on the age of your guests you may wish to add that the tower has to be able to stand up independently to qualify for the building challenge.
Search Adventure - before the party create a short story of how Lego City needs their help to rescue (your theme) prebuilt legos from the party area. For instance, if you are hosting a Jurassic lego party you can need your guests to search and rescue all of the lost dinosaurs. Have numerous small built dinosaurs hidden around the party area for your guests to find.
Lego Relay Races - have your guests get into small groups of two or three. At each end have a basket to hold legos. Your guests need to race and crawl through a tunnel, bounce a basketball three times and collect a lego. Then repeat to get back to the start line where your guest will drop their lego into the basket. Once they have retrieved all the pieces of lego (one piece per run), the guests need to use their imagination to build a lego creation from their imagination.
Lego Cornhole - create a cornhole set that has large enough holes to fit a large toddler lego.
Pin the Lego Head - pin the lego head on the lego body. You can create a different lego head for each of your guests to post
Blindfolded Building - guests need to work in pairs and use their words to explain how to build a lego set or design. One of the guests can be blindfolded and only able to listen to words to build the design. Or if your guests are a bit younger one can see the plan where the other can still see the legos while building.
Lego Photo Booth - create a large picture frame out of cardboard and paint to look like lego. You could use large toddler blocks, but if you do this I would suggest duct taping the backside so it stays together throughout the party. Have a number of lego face masks, speech bubbles, helium balloons and a lego city backdrop, or a backdrop to match your theme.
Paint Your Awesome - have a painting station to paint your idea of awesome. You can also have lego scenes posted for painting inspiration.
Lego Character Creation - pre cut out lego people out of a yellow/orange bristal board. Have different colored bowls filled with googly eyes, clothing, accessories that they can glue together. Also have jewel stickers, markers, etc to add a unique side to their creations.
Estimation Lego Jar - place a number of Lego in a sealed jar. Have your guests guess how many lego bricks are in the jar. At the end of the party the closest guest wins the jar of lego.
Lego Twister - play lego twister, just like twister. If you want to add the dots for lego blocks that would look amazing
Lego Toss - make lego faces out of yellow solo cups. Set them up in a pyramid and have your guests toss a large toddler lego to try to knock over the pyramid.
View a Favorite Lego Show or Lego Movie - make a set of different lego cars, jeeps, and boats for your guests to sit in to view the lego movie or show. Have an assortment of treats and drinks for the viewing.
Legoland Adventure - if you live close to Legoland, go to the actual theme park. There are rides, robotics, food, live theater, what more could you want for an adventurous party. We have spent so many fantastic days at Legoland. If it is your birthday you can also get a birthday pin and all the working members of the park will wish you a happy birthday.
